Progress your pastel art journey in the safe hands of competent artist, Kylie Coomblas as she teaches you more of this colourful medium.

‘This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.’

WHAT IS THIS WORKSHOP ABOUT?

As a part of our International Project, Textile Cartographies, Kylie Coomblas will introduce participants to the exciting medium of soft pastel.

For those who took part in Kylie’s beginner class, you will learn more about the medium soft pastel and the equipment used including varied surfaces and pastel quality. You will add depth and shading to your work and most importantly learn how to apply pastels safely.

At this workshop participants can choose to bring a photograph of their own to use as reference. Alternatively you may choose to take inspiration from the environment that surrounds you at our Warnertown venue on the day.

WHAT DOES THE FEE INCLUDE?

Your fee will include high quality materials, tea and coffee and a light morning tea. If you have your own set of pastels, please feel free to bring them along.

KYLIE’S PASTEL WORK (see pics below)
